i have been dating this guy for a while now and we are really getting into each other. He told me from the get go that he had a legal issue he needed to work out. But he didn't seem to be in a hurry to deal with it. Once he saw how close we were getting he decided to turn hisself in so that he could get it all out of the way...Now he could be locked up for about 2 years...What should I do?

I think it depends on what he did. If he is going to jail for something for two years, it wasn't something that could just as easily been dismissed. It's probably a misdemeanor (so it's not that serious but I don't know how much that would bother you). If you love him, then I think you should stick with him as long as what he was charged with doesn't bother you.

Also, you have to take into consideration if you want to wait for him. Two years is a long time and a lot can happen in that time.

I feel that you are really close with this person, I know how difficult it is to say no or turn around in these sort of relationship. But let me tell you one thing, prevension is better than cure. Try not to show this person your weakness. Remember if you are stronger than your opponent then your opponent is bound to be weaker to you. I know its hard but I believe that its not impossible. Remember you came alone & you'll go alone. You brought nothing and you'll not take anything with you. So be strong within so that no one can hurt you. Keep smiling always.

It is good that he turned himself in. And as to if you should wait. If you really love the guy you wouldn't be asking the question. True love means being there for the person you love through the bad and the good times. Life is full of hard things and you need strong love to see you through.

Why do girl's IQ drop when it comes to guys?

First off - what is he in jail for? 2 years seems like a major offense.

Secondly - WHY get involved with a guy who will be in prison? Talk about ignoring big red flags.

Are you crazy? Why would you knowing stay with a criminal?
On the other hand, wait the 2 years, I'm sure he is quite the prize and worth your devotion.

If you really love him and care for him, then be there for him. At least he was man enough to think of you and get it out of the way so he could spend the rest of his life with you.

He was being honest with you from the jump which is good. If you really care about this guy and you're willing to wait for him until he gets out, then go for it!
