DON'T unless you want to spend all your time looking for little springs and clips. Trust me, I made the mistake of taking mine apart and it was all over the place. If you can, take it to where you got it, or a r/c model shop and ask them to repair it/set it up. By default the bloody thing always seems to spin left, and unless properly balanced it is hyper sensitive to the tail rotor. Why do you want to strip it, and what exactly do you mean by "strip".
Assuming that you mean "take it all apart"... then I would start with a clean table when you can lay out all your pieces and not get them messed up. There are a lot of little parts in there that you don't want to lose. Then, just start taking it apart. Lay the pieces side by side that go together so you can remember where they went. Take some notes too. Draw some pictures of how the parts look when assembled.
