Well, the American accent doesn't sound that odd to us due to the massive amount of American TV and films we see here - it often sounds odder to me when an English accent popped up in an American show...

Wouldn't it depend on what part of the United States the person is from? There are different kinds of accents & even though I live in the States, there are people from some regions of the States that I cannot understand without great difficulty.

im english and to be straightforward, yeah the truly good, southern 'redneck' stereotypical accent does worsen me somewhat, yet like maximum issues, once your used to it it stops being of any magnitude, and that i do not forget that you arent rednecks contained in the south of the U. S., like we arent posh in england:')
