minus 273 degrees centigrade(C) is absolute Zero on Kelvin scale. On centigrade scale freezing point is Zero degrees centigrade, it is a French unit of measurement, boiling point is 100 degrees centigrade. Centigrade is also known as Celsius.

1 degree C is the same size as 1 degree K
1 K is also equal to -272.15 Degrees C (abs 0 is -273.15 C)
In farentheit abs 0 is −459.67 °F, so -457.87 F is 1 K
the conversion is 1 degree C = 1.8 degrees F then offset by 32 degrees
The answer above is not right about only going to positive 273. that is 0 C. room temp is about 300 K and the sun goes up to 10 million K

1 degree ,as a temperature span , is equal to 1 Kelvin.
but 0K = -273.15 degrees, we make it approx. -273 degrees
so , one unit change in Kelvin scale indicates one unit change in degree but when specifying temperature in Kelvin, you have to add 273 to the value in degree.
eg : 0 degree C = 0+273=273K
or 373K = 373-273 = 100 degree C
