I met a man i really really liked a few years back, but he has since died, aged only 26. I dont know any of his friends or family. How can i find out how/why he died with no information but his name, age and date of death to go on?

Where was he living at the time?
If you know the city, or even the state, you can check the webites of the local newspapers in the area. Most of them list obituaries going back for a number of years. If they go back more than a certain number of months or years, you may have to pay a small archive fee to access them, but its usually like $2, to access all the archives. Since you know his name and date of death, this should be a productive search. Once you find his obituary, you can track down family members as they will be listed in it.
