I have a 93 Grand Cherokee and had the same problem. First I replaced the fuel filter by the gas tank - watch that you plug them hoses as you pull them off the filter,(the fuel won't come spraying out but it will be like a water hose) - ($10.00) and 10 minutes, then I checked under the hood for vacuum leaks and found 3 ($10.00) and 30 minutes(engine must be running), then I used a whole can of "carb and throttle body" cleaner into the carb, you must keep the RPM's up around 3000 to make this work properly- there is going to be a helluva lot of smoke, but this is the cleaning process. Lastly fuel right now is comprised of about 40% water per gallon as compared to 6 years ago @ 20%, as I'm sure you know water does not burn, so to fix this problem I use one bottle of STP gas treatment with every fill up($3.99)(for a 3-pk @ Wal-mart). The first time you do this run 3 bottles in a fresh tank of reg. fuel to completely clean out your fuel system. And I'm sure you've heard - never run your fuel tank completely down. This is wrong. Dealers would like for you to think this because it makes you need a service more often.
I hope this helps you. JEEPS RULE

The 95 most likely is fuel injected, is the check engine light on all the time? If not then change fuel filter and see if that helps... most likely is low pressure problem as it sometimes won't set code. If the light is on it could be a stuck EGR valve creating a vacuum leak at idle.

I had this same problem with my car and you think the obvious culprit would be the fuel pump or the carborater, but in my case, after taking it to 3 different garages, I needed a whole new computer for my car...Cost about $600. So, it could be any of these three things

Hey guys, a car computer definitely should not cost $600. A few months ago I bought a similar Chrysler brain box for $250 from Cherry Auto Parts (cherry-auto.com). Call their number and talk to Harold at ext. 124. He hooked me up. Hope it works for you too.

you have a fuel pressure problem...could be as simple as a clogged fuel filter or a fuel pump that is delivering low pressure. Start by replacing the filter
