walmart must have put about 10,000 small companies out of business.

Idiots shop at walmart. I have bought stuff from there and I am ashamed to be in there. The service sucks so bad, the quality is atrocious and the atmosphere makes me feel like a slave.

Inconvience is the best, I drive the extra bit to keep the little shops in business.

It's the only place to shop at around here. We have 4 Wal Marts within a 25 minute driving distance. Nearest K Mart is 45 miles away. Mall is 50 miles away. So Wal mart is the most convenient.

why not shop at wal mart??? even though i could afford the more expensive stores - i like the convenience of a one stop place. they have clothes for every age/sex kids and adults. i can take care of the pets needs there too. i can also pick up a few groceries i really need for that night. also, the beauty supplies the teens need . and pretty soon i will be going to get school supplies there. I guess i can go on and on. I got all my out door plants there this year too

i love wal mart - because i have their charge card - i can still go if i don't happen to have any money on me

I only shop at Wal-mart when I HAVE TO.....I hate the fact that they have just about taken over every small store in town...but on the other hand, they have good prices on alot of things you can't get anywhere else. It's a dilemma. If I can find the things I need at a smaller store with similar prices, I shop there. Just seems wrong to have a "mega-market" for everything!

WAL-MART may have people up in arms because of benefits or lack there of, but this is america. if you do not like how you are treated, you can find another job. to your question, yes I shop there and have no problems(good prices and nice people)--however, I would never work for them until they change certain policies and step up to help the common man/woman. WAL-MART is a power hungry conglomerate, but they treat the human race POORLY.

I do not shop at Wal Mart and will never buy anything from those stores they aren't about paying fair wages and they are not about their worker forming a union and I am a union worker and believe people like A.Philip Randolph fought for rights of people to work and earn fair or liveable wages. Long live James Hoffa Teamsters my union 1776 transportation workers. I also express to all my family menbers not to shop at wal mart.

I have NEVER been inside a WalMart, and I will NEVER shop at their stores for a number of reasons:

1. Their policy of "low prices - everyday" is almost certainly a typical retail gimmick featuring lots of loss leaders while all the other stuff is priced about the same as everywhere else;
2. They treat their employees like slaves, especially in China - where WalMart has a larger presence than in the U.S.A. (most of their manufacturing vendors are located there);
3. They don't want their employees to unionize because they might have to pay them something over minimum wage. In the meantime, four of the wealthiest people in the world are direct descendants of Sam Walton. It's despicable for any employer to become obscenely wealthy off the sweat of other people's brows. WalMart can certainly afford to share the wealth;
4. Chinese employees are often forced to work 12-18 hour days with no breaks or benefits. Call in sick, and you'll lose your job;
5. Everytime WalMart comes into a community, it forces small independent retailers out of business;
6. WalMart unabashedly demands tax rebates and special incentives for bringing a store into a town, and gullible politicians hype it as a "good thing" for the community;
7. Many consumers have become WalMart addicts, spending too much of their disposable income on junk they don't need, but WalMart cleverly creates a "need' for (just as all other retailers do);
8. WalMart probably hires pricey lobbyists to grease politicians' slimy paws and persuade them not to raise the minimum wage for millions of working Americans who earn poverty-level incomes while saving WalMart millions in additional labor costs;
9. WalMart contributes very little as a good corporate citizen, usually not joining local Chambers of Commerce or hardly ever participating in local events and community activities;
10. By selling all its plastic junk (which requires petroleum as a part of the manufacturing process) WalMart contributes to the continued rape and plunder of Earth's natural resources, helping to destroy the environment and ruining the delicate ecological balance between man, plants and animals that Nature intended - all so the WalMart family members can be multi-billionaires.

95% of people polled say they shop at Wal-Mart. The other 5% are liars.

Sound familiar?

I hate Wal-Mart. You can't get down the aisles and the shoppers all look like they have 666 tattooed on their heads. Looks like a trailer park exploded. Prices are good, but I refuse to go!

Rarely. I don't shop there because, in this area, you'd think it's the only store of it's type in Canada. It's always PACKED. I prefer Zellers which is actually like a K-mart.
