I assume that you are looking for JAVA tutorials and not JAVASCRIPT tutorials, since that is what you said, and (beckacola nonwithstanding) Java and Javascript are TWO UTTERLY DIFFERENT THINGS.

Sun Microsystems, the creators of Java, have a very extensive tutorial here[1]. I have also seen this[2] recommended quite frequently, but I have not used it and cannot personally vouch for it.

The best introductory book on Java is Bruce Eckel's "Thinking in Java" which you can actually start reading online here[3].

There is No easy way to Glory I m afraid, You will have to work with a good base book such as - "Complete Reference" or "Java in a Nutshell"

This is the best I can recommend.

First learn up some basic Java concepts.

Then look at some sample programs: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/

Think of some project to do: Keep your limits very high

Then work on that project... learning new stuff along the way.... in this way, you won't forget most of the stuff, and you always have your own code you can refer back to in the future.

I have found that the best series of books to learn a computer langauge is Sam's series, "Teach Yourself in 21 days". The other good series from Sam's is "Teach Yourself in 24 hours".

Of course, you have to find the that fits your interest.
