Well, at first sight train is the best way. BUT... first, you need to take a shuttle bus from Luton Airport to Luton Parkway Station (10 minutes, free), then take the train to King's Cross Thameslink and then indeed still a bus or tube to Euston.
So, perhaps quick, but hassle and expensive.
Now, cheaper is....
Book a bus ahead with EasyBus for as little as 2 pounds (see http://www.easybus.co.uk)
Buses stop in front of the terminal and they will take you to Baker Street in about 50 minutes. There, it is easy to catch one of the many buses that drive from there down Euston Road to Euston Station... which will cost you 1.50 without an Oyster card or 80p with.
Theoretically, you could get from Luton to Euston for 2.80 this way. As long as you book early and have an Oyster card.

If you go Luton airport to London Victoria coach station it takes just over an hour and it cost £10.50 for a single on National express - http://www.nationalexpress.com/bp/b2.cfm?id=61439538&CFID=1298571&CFTOKEN=13079519
Then tube from Victoria to Euston on the victoria line (8 minutes) which costs £3 for a single journey

Train is best, especially since they are ripping up the motorway at the minute... buses operate from London Lutun Parkway every 10mins to transport you to the train station...
