Okay, sperm can live in a woman's body for 5 days. Alright now...if a woman doesn't ovulate until that 5th day, what are the sperm doing in the meantime? Are they just swimming in circles confused asking each other, "Where the hell is this egg at?" or what? (Just being silly on the last part but I'm serious.)

Yes The sperm waits, sperm also have sensers that detects an egg.

Once they have passed the cervix, if they do, they sit there waiting for the egg.
