I think men because women tend to be more emotional. I'm a woman and that's just the way it is. We still do a great job. Guys are just better.

No offence, but it's questions like this that keep the seperation of the sexes at the work place alive. Why does it matter if it's a man or a woman? Can't you just ask who everyone's favorite morning news anchor is? By deliberately making people choose a sex you're saying (maybe not deliberately) that there is a difference in the ability to broadcast news between the sexes.

I don't think it's gender based. There are good anchor-people of both sexes. The women generally tend to be more serious, and most of the men try to be comedians. They also seem to have very attractive women for the job and fat, balding men... I'd rather get my news from an attractive lady any day. It softens the blow of bad news.

Well I think women 'cuz we're pretty and get eyes on us.And alot of men are ugly like the guys who are on the news. Also women give out better advice as well.

I work in an almost all male environment. My co-workers all vote women are better because they appear more cheerful (I work in an Operation Center where we monitor servers and computers round the clock. It get's tiring at four and five in the morning and a cheerful face and voice help a lot).
