I have an opportunoty to go to work in the home office in Baton Rouge. How do you think she woill react ???? We don't get along now because she had an affair with someone she worked with and we divorced.

Welllllll........even small towns....and I don't know how big Baton Rouge is...........can be big enough for you to avoid each other but would you like constantly having to think twice every time you go out, in case you run into each other?
If there is animosity between you, she could take the view that you've followed her there and cause you problems.
Do you really want the job or do you want to move to Baton Rouge? Ask yourself this and be honest with your answer to yourself.
Having said all this......you've got every right to live and work where you want to.
Hope whatever you decide works out.
Or have I got all this wrong? Reading other people's answers....are you moving further away from her or closer to her? As you can see, I'm not American .....and my geography may be a little rough!!!!! lol

This one is easy.. Why would you care what she thinks of you taking a job in Baton Rouge, you are divorced as you said.. Live your life and let her live hers..
you aren't getting along anyway so what would she care if you took another job and moved away..
what is wrong with you don't you have the balls to take a good job and move on..
get a life man.. and live it and be happy..find a woman that cares.

You need to weigh the pros and cons. How good of a job is it? Are the money and benefits worth making her mad? How much contact with her would you really have? When you answer those questions, then you'll know the answer to whether or not to take the job.
To answer the question about how she will react, she'll probably be pretty angry, but if she's an adult she will let it go.

Nope and we don't even stay in a small city, yet a tiny, tiny hamlet in France and blessed because of the fact our neighbours could communicate approximately us yet we does no longer be attentive to by using being inner maximum folk:D

Take that job, don't let her stop you from getting that and who cares. That her plm. and Company don't care what your both history you have and want to hire someone to do the job at that place.
It will be funny if you got up to become to General Manager and you can be her boss hahahaha!!!! that will be so cool to see that and Like people said if she want to cheat on you and Bad very Bad Karma will come back to her haha.

If that job she has invloces money that is being spent to help raise your children... then do not try and get revenge that way... that may be her only means to support your children , esp if your not helping.
