I ask myself that question everyday. I do believe though that some people are crying out for attention. Some people are not taught right and wrong like we are. And for other reasons I just don't know. It is very hard to just believe that people are born evil and twisted, so I always blame it on the way they were raised, and it can even be peer pressure as well.
I also believe that people get these stupid ideas from TV as well. If you look at TV in general and you look at the way the movies stars act, people try to follow those actions. I hope I have added some light to your question.

i have done a lot of stupid things in my life everyone makes mistake but i am trying to learn from them but because i done stupid things or mistakes does not mean i am stupid

In society stupidity is rewarded.
the dumb girls go on dates every weekend. the dumb guys are having a good time.
People associate intelligence with dull , boring stuff.
