See it that way. if it were you, and you had children, wouldn't you want to know?
I took my children to a newsagent to buy some presents, and then a friend told me later that the guy was a pedophile.
I can tell you that I was really grateful that she did. I could then warn my children to never return to that shop ever again and about general safety rules.
Of course you need to know that type of thing. It's not a question of they paid for their crime. It's a question of them being a danger to the public and CHILDREN safety so it should be clear as the different signes on the road.
Good on you for alerting the police and social services. How awful for that child that they don't seem to want to believe you.
Something has to be done. I am feeling terrible to know that something as terrible is going on while people are aware of it.
Keep trying for that child sake.
KC.

A convicted sex offender has to register themselves when moving to a new neighborhood, it is the law. The authorities will send a paper with a pic and that a statement saying that he/she is a registered sex offender. That's what happened when one moved into my girlfriends neighborhood. I may be wrong but I think it is also illegal to harass the offender. If the person isn't convicted and you are concerned for the well being of a child, contact social services but if you are wrong realize that you have damaged the reputation of an innocent person. So dealing with a problem such as this should be handled delicately.

I would warn people, as long as you are 100% sure. But do you want his blood on your hands... it's a tough one. I wouldn't want to say nothing and find out he's hurt another child. Think it's disgusting that the public are put in these difficult situations. We shouldn't have to deal with em, they should never be released, they are ill and will re offend.

yes, i would discreetly let people know that there is a ''pedo'' in the town. think of all the little childen you will save from being molested by him. the police cannot do anything until he attacks someone and unfortunately it's too late then

If he had previously been convicted or you were 100% sure, then I would print some leaflets and distrubte them around the area.
