I don't think so, the scar tissue is very thin and using a tattoo needle on it ill probably open it again. I have 3 but none of them cover a scar. Get in touch with you're local tattooist or maybe ask you're GP.

It depends on what you mean by cover, and it also depends on how big the scar is and the damage to the skin where the scar is.
Tatoos can cover many things and from some of the ones I have seen they also sometimes cover peoples brains because once they get them they go through some sort of great character change and they turn into right royal ars# holes.
Personally I wouldn't advise anyone to get a tatoo no matter what the reason was, but I do also believe that people should do whatever they think is right for them without having to put up wih other people trying to control them and everyone else around.

Well I am really happy you asked this as I have never thought about it-and I have huge scar just below my butt.
Butt wait!??? Scars are cooler than tatoos -they tell a real story!!!

Depends what sort of scar, as they won't change the texture/feel of the skins, they just colour it.

yes but it will be more painful to get a tattoo on scarred skin

im not sure...i sue dinair airbrush makeup and they have this stuff u can out onto scars that literally fills them back up to skin level and then once u airbrush over them the scar nearly disappears..anywho..hope i helped...=)

yes but talk to a tatooist that knows the in and out and it wounldn't hurt if they a few awards in the last few years that shows he's current

YES THEY CAN . I HAD THIRD DEGREE BURNS ON MY LEFT LEG AND I HAVE AN ENTIRE LEGGING DONE . SO TO ALL THOSE NAY SAYERS , HA ! HA ! TATTOOS CAN COVER UP SCARS .

you can cover it up, but it wont feel any different, just add colour
