Hope this info & websites help you:
While the basic timing is easy: Slow Slow Slow Slow. The most important thing for the leader to remember is to take the walking steps large and decisively straight forward and straight to the sides on the sways. This is true even on a smaller dance floor. Better to make multiple laps around a small floor than to hang out in the same spot. The slowness of the movements tend to make men want to take small steps, but when we get them to stride confidently while dancing, Slow Dance can have the beautiful smooth flow around the room that Foxtrot and Waltz do.

It depends on what the music is? Rumba, Fox Trot, Waltz.
If you have the time I would suggest taking your wedding song to one of your local ballroom dance studios and have them choreograph a dance for you.
I would recommend an independent studio rather than a franchise like Fred Astaire or Auther Murray because you won't have to sign a contract and can take as many lessons as needed without any of the extra charges for franchise fees, etc.

If your the groom, ask your fiance to go take dance lessons with you. There is nothing more special at a wedding to see a couple really look perfect for their first dance. Besides it will be fun for you and her to do something together, esp. that you'll have forever.

When I got married, my husband and I signed up for dance classes, we learned the basic two step and had so much fun in the process.
