My sisters use limeware, and I positively hate it. When ever they are using it, it cause the Internet to lag. Web pages take forever to load and some don't load at all. There is also the added high risk, of infecting your computer with spy-ware and virus's. Especially, if you download any of the games/software.
If you want something that is 100% safe for your computer download itunes.

My computer's never crashed while Limewire has been in use. Sometimes there are files that are corrupt (I've come across a few), but usually Limewire warns you and gives you the option of continuing the download or aborting it. As long as you haven't downloaded any corrupt files, Limewire should be one of the safest file-sharing programs out there.

to verify LimeWire turns off first, do right here steps: a million. correct click on the LimeWire icon and click on "go out". 2. Restart your pc to verify LimeWire isn't processing something. 3. Uninstall LimeWire by uding the administration Panel concepts. 4. Run an AntiVirus verify on your pc to verify there aren't any viruses very last. wish this answer helps! :)

Limewire itself is safe. You have to be careful what you download with it. If you are not comfortable with handling potential viruses etc. I would not suggest using it.

Yep, it's safe alright. If you know what to download and what not to download. Having a good antivirus program running on the background is a good precaution.

The definite answer is NO. if you play it safe and have a firewall and antivirus installed you are ok, just do not download any programs! programs ent over the internet are risky and often have undectable viruses bundled it with them.

lime-wire can sometimes contain spy-ware and male-ware. the programs, movies, music etc.. that you download with lime-wire are well known to contain viruses... use at your own risk. bit-torrent is much safer but can still contain viruses.
