Only you can decide that. When u say trust, do u mean trust with secrets, trust with responsibilities (like looking after ur dog while u r on holiday) or trusting them completely, so much so that you would put ur life into their hands....or even more trusting, is if u would place the lives of ur family and friends into their hands.
There's only 1 person in the world who I trust completely, and that's my brother. I never thought I would be able to trust anyone completely, but he helped me to trust people again...(I was betrayed by my bestfriend years ago, with one of my deepest secrets, and I never really trusted anyone after that...)
But trusting someone is a big thing....so, yeah you can really trust people, u just have to make sure u trust the right people. They have to earn ur trust.

Trust in God. Have faith in Him. Do not put your trust and faith in human beings because you will be disappointed repeatedly. One day you may be able to trust yourself but only after you have come to terms with who you are and what your purpose in life is.

thats a tuffie, ive had people in my life i thoght i could trust freinds etc, and they have turned out to be totally untrustable in the end,also family etc etc.
i have learnt in life the only person you can trust is your self, as after all you cant have an argument with yourself and you know your not gonna crap on yourself like most of the so called people in tis worod youve learnt to trust and find out later you were wrong to, when they let you down in the end.mind you i have a great m8, who id trust my life with, shes never ever andi know wouldnt let me down with anything, and thats hard to come by now.
