In President Bush's imagination. Everyone knows that they needed to get rid of Saddam because he was blocking Oil deals. The war has nothing to do with Saddam's politics or how he treated his people. There are many other regimes that are treating people worse that we (meaning the U.S. government) support.

As for Saddam supporting terrorists, I think he did a damn god job of oppressing the terrorists with his fascist regime. May not have been good for the people of Iraq but was good for us. Now we have to do the dirty work and have our soldiers get killed fighting the fanatics.

One of the worst tactical decisions ever made by a president was to overthrow Saddam's regime. Iraq always kept Iran "in-check" and now they can free their resources (military etc...) to do things like, uh well, support attacks on Israel. Duh!
