Chelsea are being greedy in that they do not bargain hard enough for their players, so the transfer prices get pushed up.
Chelsea are not greedy in the number of top players they sign, because they are limited by the need to motivate their squad and give players competitive match experience.

who says they r world class? every fan of every other team will tell you that their team are world class. As for are they being greedy, i don't think so. To me i would say they are more scared, they think that if they buy up these players before anyone else then they will win every thing. Just take a look back over the last two years.... have they won everything? NO They like to think they are the most successful club but they have a long way to go before they can claim that title. As for having all the world class players, i don't think so, have they signed Ronaldinho.........?

I'm a man u fan and would love that we could buy any player we wanted. Chelsea just seem to be buying great players but how many players would stick around when problems arise, such as no champions league or the unlikely scenario of relagation.
Also with the players they are purchasing their will be no loyalty and who could blame them look how they have got rid og Del Horno. After 1 season, and they say it takes 2 seasons to get use to the premiership.
I do feel they are being greedy and trying to prevent other teams from progressing, e.g. jon obi mikel, Ballack!!! (not p!ssed off!!)
Least they didn't allow us to waste our money on Essien!

Would be interesting to see who plays for which team if there was a transfer and salary cap. The players are the greedy ones by following the money around. Not Stevie G though, he plays from the heart and for the love.

Who said they have the best players..........they have good and great players, but not the best players in the world.
This season will be a telling time for Chelski.....what with so many of their players playing for different teams in the world cup, no rest from end of last season, going into new season, FA cup, Premiership title, European cup, champions league etc, I think they will start to suffer this season and Liverpool, Man U will be right up there with them this season.
Oh.....and Southampton will be back up there at the end of this coming season, thats gotta start worrying some of them.

To answer your question yes! But any supporter of any football club would want an Abramovich!
I hope that for the sake of football they win the Champions League this year, and then he will get bored and pick up another toy!

Yes,and I think we should give them all away to other teams so that we dont win every competition we enter and start being a bit nicer to all the other nice teams, like those nice people at loftus rd [bunch of in-bred t*ssers who have never won a fight of any kind in their miserable lives]

Yeah just cause they have finicial backing they think they can buy really good players, but whats the point buying really good players if they don't get there game and are being left on the bench...
