I have just read and replied to someone saying there is going to be a Muslim Only Day at Alton Towers. I did put my thoughts to his answer.

I have now looked at Alton Tower's website and it is a Private Corporate Event. So it has been booked for and paid for by a private company so yes this is acceptable.

Sainsbury's did this several years ago and it was for employees and their family only.
Many companies book corporate events like this every day of the week all around the world mainly a thank you for all the hard work they have put in over the past year.

AT aren't doing it to be all politically correct, it is a business, they're doing for the MONEY!! They have found an untapped source of punters, got someone else (Muslim Council perhaps) to pay for a "corporate event" and will reap in the money from these people on that day and when some of them return on future!

Come on people, wake up and smell the coffee!

This is racism in its dirtyest and lowest form. If they had a "Catholic" only day there would be uproar, protests, front pages in the Guardian etc. They are hiding behind "diversity" to enable themselves to do what they want.
I suggest a panreligious boycott of Alton Towers until they stop this racism

I recall Golf Clubs were Men Only, they were private clubs, paid for and run by private mebers but they broke the law by not allowing women.

There are many similar examples so what is the difference with alllwing only one religion?

Could my local pub close it's doors to regulars and have a day only for a single religion or sex ? I don't think so!

I answered this one a week or so ago for someone else. It was not a Muslim only day. It was a booking by a large Muslim organisation.

You can have a Fat people only day if Weightwatchers booked it for their punters, teh fact is that any organisation or group can book the park exclusively for their own use.Jehovah Witness day,Mormon day,Muslim day etc...

I think that's perfectly fair. But I'd be interested to see what people views would be if someone booked it for a 'Christian's Only Day'

It's OK, really.
It's a trap. There's going to be a mass deportation that day. They're trying to round up as many as possible.
