That depends on who you know and who your mates are and where you live

Depends on which part of Kent. I live in north Kent on a boat but would never live in a house, especially in the Medway towns - chavland! Other areas of Kent are ok. The small villages are quite pretty.
I suppose the main advantage of life in Kent is that you have access to everything and it's not far from London but far enough.

As others have said it depends which parts of Kent you're talking about. I grew up in a lovely small village called Wrotham, but that's gone downhill in recent years and now has to have CCTV cameras because of vandalism and drug dealing.

The other thing is that it's very, very expensive to live, particularly close to London and on the commuter routes. The price of a pint is getting close to £3 and that's ludicrous!

Kent is not called "the garden of England" for nothing. It's lovely in places - but like anywhere else, it has it's manky bits.

depends where in kent i live right on the seafront in margate and i'm happy here. it's like most places you have your rough area's and nicer area's. we usually find that we have the mildest weather here and bypass a lot of bad weather, there's also the advantage of being 2 minutes from the beach!

Affordable housing but commuting to London is expensive. If you don't need to travel into London then go further out - Sandwich, Herne Bay etc.. are best.
If you do need London then the outskirts of Maidstone and Chatham are better as they are closer and the cost of commuting & time is more bearable.
