It is not too old.

However, if you have more than 5 years work experience in a particular field, such as management - you may qualify to study directly for a Masters' degree.

If you still want to do a BS, being a mature student certain entry requirements may not apply to you as they do to students fresh out of highschool or college.

You should check with each institution's policy on mature students. In most cases have that few extra years of experience is to your benefit when pursuing a higher education.

There may be some trouble fitting in or being accepted by younger peers at first, but keeping a smile on usually wins people over - try it.

Good luck to you!

I know it is not too old. My mom did it. Of course, the earlier the easier, but with hard work and determination (when I was a kid we ate a lot of frozen pizza cuz she was doing her homework), it is attainable.
