Israel says world backs offensive
Israel says the decision by a summit of world powers not to call for a halt to its Lebanon offensive has given it the green light to continue.
"We received yesterday at the Rome conference permission from the world... to continue the operation," Justice Minister Haim Ramon said.
While the US is seen as the major ally of Israel, many other countries who have diplomatic ties with the Jewish state would like to see Israel come down hard on Hezbollah. That is the reason for countries not insisting on a ceasefire. Israel should be given ample time to destroy as much of Hezbollah as possible.

the U. S.-uk-ISRAEL axis is already a longtime alliance in accordance to some countries. If WW3 breaks out it really is amazingly unlikely there'll be many major countries on the wait-&-see record; they include Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Gulf States - a number of those may even wish that the U.
