Only certain games are backwards compatible on the Xbox 360 (see link below for a full list). The list expanded rapidly to begin with but now attention is focused more on new games for the platform.
Key features that make it a worthwhile purchase are the wireless controllers and the major hardware improvements (inc. a triple-core processor) that allows for not only better graphics but more advanced physics and fuller, more detailed worlds.
Definitely note the improvements to Xbox Live. Now every Xbox 360 can connect straight out of the box with silver membership. This lets you download videos, game updates and add-ons, and even full game demos directly to your Xbox, all for free. Other content is also available to purchase for a price. Online multiplayer gaming still requires paying for Gold membership.

i don't know. but we bought an xbox 360 a couple of weeks ago, we took it back though because it is very complicated and it aint as good as the playstation 2.
