I am a fairly good writer, so sports writing isn't that hard of a stretch. but it would be something like distance running.

Absolutely baseball! While I think football is a better spectator sport, I understand all of the strategies of baseball better. The personalities of the sport have spoiled it for the masses to love it like we used to but that was expected when the agents got so greedy. I yearn for the days when Sandy Koufax and Bob Gibson pitched with pain then iced down their sore arm and prepared for their next rotation. These pros today will never deserve the Hall of Fame. They lack the dedication to the sport. They just want the bucks.

I write a lot of outdoor sports stuff; mostly fishing but hiking, disk golf, snowboarding as well. I don't have my IM set up but I will change my Yahoo Answers profile so you can send me an Email if interested. For a couple of years I had a weekly column in a local paper and have been published on a number of web sites. I've also covered a lot of music events for the same local paper and Jambase.

While I was never much into writing in high school, I have developed a keener understanding for writing since my days in college. I actually found a fantasy football web site that is allowing me to write some articles for them.

If you know of someone that has a start up web site concerning your favorite sport (or pseudo-sport like fantasy football), then ask them if you can write some articles for their site. That's what I did.

Every male likes to think he could be a sportswriter. Personally, I think I could write about football (all codes) and cricket. At a pinch I could write about most sports or so I like to kid myself.
