i don't know now, but before there used to be a service called efax.com which sent faxes to a email address...

You can send faxes from your yahoo e-mail account by signing up with an Internet fax provider like MyFax. Faxes are sent and received in your e-mail inbox. You can send and receive faxes anywhere you have access to your e-mails. It's really easy!
