2:228 Women who are divorced shall wait, keeping themselves apart, three (monthly) courses. And it is not lawful for them that they should conceal that which Allah hath created in their wombs if they are believers in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands would do better to take them back in that case if they desire a reconciliation. So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. i am a Muslim stupid ,, OK and i love my religion a lot ,, i think it's fair for me and my religion respects me as a human ,, ":228 Women who are divorced shall wait, keeping themselves apart, three (monthly) courses" and that is for the woman to be sure that she isn't pregnant ,, so she will know the daddy of her child ..not getting married to another man then being confused about who is the dad of her child and a new discovery said that a woman needs to hold on for 3 months after each relation so she won't get AIDS . other than that what u said is total **** ,, my religion respects me very much

If people only understood the true meaning of that. It's so sad you people are so uneducated about islam. I am a muslim and i am proud. That doesn't mean i try to shove it down someone's throat. How would a Christian like it if i went up to them and said Jesus is not God's son, and that how can you worship someone other than god, when no one can equal god ?? You would probably try to choke me! but you think you can go around saying things about a religion you only know of from what you hear people talk about on the news. Learn about a religion more before you judge it. And by the way, the so-called "muslims" that crashed the towers, they are not viewed as muslims to the muslim society, they took what the quran said and screwed it up and did what they wanted to do. They are going straight to hell. So i hope people know that they are not real muslims. They are suicide bombers burning in hell. Those people were not muslims whatsoever. You didn's ask a muslim man to answer you, so I just raise a couple of points:
a. Please be advised that Arabic text is the source of judgement on Quran.
b. Most verdicts in the scriptures are interpreted along with the common practice of the prophet at the time. (i.e: Prophet's attitute towrds women was examplary in his own times, Therefore rules of Quran could not be interpreted as excuses for beating women.)
