All I know is that we have a woman manager at work, and she has a big thing about preventing other women in the office from wearing them.

I'd like to know, what's the deal with "crinkle shirts" in ugly patterns? I go out to buy a simple, classic shirt or blouse and all I see are these crinkle shirts. I don't think the long shorts, or capris, will take over because they are not practical for people living in cooler climates. But they are helpful for women with not so great legs; they can be cool without showing their upper legs. Check with your huma resources department to be sure there is no dress code prohibiting wearing these to work; don't just take your supervisor's word for it.
