Bristol. I had a load of friends in the Physics department and they actually had personalities, a rarity in that faculty! Also, a lot of them did a four year degree with some going to France to study in their third year and others having a year in industry.
It's also a fantastic place to live and there is plenty going on for students. It's got a great reputation and it's very well regarded. Imperial College may also be good, a friend of mine did chemistry there, however, it is in central london and so it is very expensive living there.

Try Strathclyde In glasgow. they have great Engineering department. Daughter just back from there after a weeks study at Scottish Space Camp.

Manchester University or Staffordshire University, I have attended both. it depends on what you are looking for. Manchester certainly has the better night life but Staffordshire is more closer community and better sports facilities.

there's not many unis that offer physics now. my bf did his at stafford but they moved the school to keele uni after he finished. placements are always a good thing.

emperial college in london thats if you can get in its a really hard uni to get in to. its kind of like the mit of the uk
