The same reason that the psychic hotline asks you to call them, if they were really able to read minds, they would call you first. Some people can see future events, but very few. The vast majority are, as you suggest, LIARS and FAKES!

I guess if you asked them they would say that it would be 'unethical', either that or the spirit world is not a precise science so exact numbers would very rarely be 'given'? Maybe?
