I had baby 3 months ago. I went natural. My husband was there when I was in labor, but we decided that he shouldn't see that. My sister and our girl friend was there. She still thought it was crazy, but both of them were crying.
Hopnestly I do not think that a man should see that. Some thinks should be kept with a woman.
A friend of mine once said, " When you are getting married, for the first couple of months you can feel your partner, you love is flowing and you are happy, but then after a couple of months you will get to SEE your partner. It is very different. The first months are honeymoon months and then comes the "every day". He wished me and my husband to never see each other but to always feel each other." I belive that it was the best advice I have ever got.
Honestly, yes childbirth is a miracle, but only for a woman. You don't let your husband change your tampon, why should he see you have a baby?

I thanked God for giving me the opportunity to witness how a mother feels herself..how she feel great pains during the procsess, i saw her face pale bec of the pain and clutching the bed by her sides, she was crying in pain (bec we have twins), but she was conscious. She had closed her eyes and undergone severe pain. I for a moment closed my eyes and prayed a silent prayer in my heart and when opened the eyes, saw the baby coming out. And then after a minute the other one...both girls. I would have gifted my whole life to be a witness of such a wonder of God.

Relief because the pain of childbirth is highly traumatic for everyone involved. It is painful for a husband to see his wife go through that. It was still amazing though and gave me so much more respect for my amazing wife. (As if I didn't respect her enough in the first place!)

My dh would not look at all. When the doc asked him to cut the cord he said NO. He couldn't stomach it. 3 kids same thing.

DH would rather the old days, when husbands were in the waiting room.

I was half sick to my stomach it's so nasty, but my little girl was so awesome she had so much hair and her little finger nails were so long the nurses put little booties on her hands to keep her from scratching her face, it was just awesome to see. Overwhelmed and sick at the same time, what a feeling it was.
