Iran i believe is a sovereign nation with lots of history and is the cradle of civilization. How can one forget about how Cyrus united the whole of iran and saved the jews from extinction thousand of years ago that until today has become the symbol of the United Nations. Today, iran is being run by the government of Mr Ahmadinejad.. which to my thinking like his predecessors have never bow down to any forces and are very strong in their ideologies and beliefs and are very proud of themselves. Though, many a times, the pride has swollen so much especially under the leadership of ahmadinejad that it might just cause problems to iran themselves. today iran are putting a hardline stance through ahmadinejad's government and that would only mean trouble. i believe that iran if wants to receive support from the rest of the world has to be more liberal and more accomodating like how it used to be under president khatami. i still think the previous president did a better job than the current one

I cannot speak for the world because I am an American, but I can tell you what I think from my perspective.

Americans have a very skewed idea of the Middle East, mainly because the US media is so heavily influenced by jews. This gives a totally false impression of the dynamics in the region, of which Iran is a part. Most American politicians and administration officials are totally pro-Israel because they think this is the way to be, having been coerced into that line of thinking by the jewish lobby. As a result they are all sadly misinformed, having as reference only jewish propaganda. An example of this is the statement George Bush repeated several times, over and over, which he obviously liked and that seemed to him and his speechwriters to espouse a Great Truth: that the "root cause" of the current round of fighting was the capture by Hezbollah of those two Israeli soldiers about two weeks ago. This was no root cause at all; Bush is so ignorant of the real history it is pathetic. A moron could realize that the root cause of a conflict spanning decades did not occur two weeks ago, but here we are, misinformation given as fact.

From the Iranian perspective things look a lot different than from the George Bush Israeli misinformation perspective. The Iranians see the problem of Israel in a totally different light because they have not been given only the jewish version of history for the past 70 years. So when we judge Iran we must understand that perhaps the American view may be wrong. If the American view is wrong then what does that make the Iranians'? This is a question no one in the Bush Administration will ever acknowledge because it will cause problems in blindly accepting the jewish position on all issues.

The real objective truth, unvarnished by jewish lies and propaganda, is probably closer to Tehran than Washington.

A country with a mainly peace loving people led by people who have a hatred of it.

A president who looks remarkably like pictures of a known terrorist and who espouses war and the destruction of Israel.

The peace loving people voted him and the government in!!!!

Iran now seems to be the major obstacle to peace in the region.
