i would say 'to be' but honestly its pretty hard 'to be' when its much easier to 'pretend to be' so you can fit in with everyone else....

for me, it is definitely to be, because where i came up, you shouldn't pretend to be something that ur not because ppl learn to lyk or dislike who ur pretending to be and they dont really know who u really are
