They've been taught that being white is a sin, and that they are innately racist and criminal and inferior because of their color. So they try to emmulate the most popular non white thing around. Plus, teens like drama and controversy and rap and ebonics has all that. Then of course, they get rejected by the blacks who still hate them for no reason and get very confused.
Better for people just to speak proper English, be polite, wear clothes that fit, go to school, get a job and all that mainstream stuff.

I am a white caucasian male and I do in no way shape or form try or want to "act" black whatsoever. I hate hip hop music. Some rap I can listen to, but that does not mean I want to "act" like I'm black.

In fairness to many of the great African-Americans in this country who contribute each day to education, business, society-at-large and high culture, I believe you mean to say: "Why do [some] white people talk like they are ghetto?"
The answer is: They are white trash and find it much easier to practice low culture than high culture.

It drives me nuts..they are called wiggers from where i come from...what ever happen to the white man for them to ever want to act like a black man i never see a black man trying to act like a white man....peoples lost their family roots!!!its a shame..

They may do it because they like that culture and think that it is cool; they may have grown up around that specific culture; they may do it to rebel against their own culture; it could be a many number of reasons.

Because they are IGNORANT and BRAINWASHED and they don't know what color they are!!!!!
This "ghetto mentality" has gotton WAY out of hand - it's warping people's minds to the point of no return, and the media just buys right into it. I think they are out to turn the whole world into one big "'hood" - DISGUSTING!!!!
