Disable energy options. If that helps, you know where to look.
At booting: try if you can find a hotkey which goes to the BIOS. There you can check the CPU temperature, it might be too high. If so, dust buildup might be a cause.
You can tweak down the onboard VGA to see if that's the culprit: lower down the resolution, refresh rate, color depth and try again. New VGA drivers, a new BIOS flash or load BIOS defaults might help too.
If nothing helps, look in your Windows system logs.
If that doesn't do the trick, invite a whizkid friend.

It's something to do with the screen. I've had the same problem a couple of times as well. I sent my lap top for a check up to get the screen fixed up. Send your's for a maintainance checkup.

The symtoms is of overheating, i have a laptop whcih had same prblem, and i got to know that th grafics card/motherboard is burned up...
