does reality peel back a layer when you smoke Salvia?

when i smoke it, reality , you know space, everything...seems like its trying to peel away a layer. like its coming towards me trying to peel a layer off over me. anyone else get that?

Well, not quite. It is not a reality that is "peeling off the layer" but rather you are peeling off your layers of artificial perceptions conditioned by society/experience, leaving more "direct experience".
