Alone. if you do it in front of everyone its not so special and you are kindof forcing her into it in a way.

How about this... Ask her parents for permission to ask their daughter. (this will earn you HUGE points across the board) Be prepared to answer questions about how you are going to build a life with your future wife, ie their daughter. After you talk to mom & dad...
First, buy a ring! (This way she will know that you are serious about her.) Not sure where you live but... Second, setting the scene. If you think that she will be more comfortable alone... think about where she loves to go. Take her there. <<
If your looking to asking in public...

Remember all the things she likes- if she likes sweets- write it on a beatiful cake, if she likes flowers, send her a surprise with the road of flowers that will ahow her the way to you with the ring. Or just orginize a dinner with candles and nice music...not new-but still very moving and romantical

Take her to dinner and propose to her in the middle of the dinner so everyone in the restaurant will see how sweet, kind, or gentle you are and the people around the two of you will say "awe" (if the spelling is correct)... She'll be so happy and she'll say yes...

first of all....DO NOT propose in front of a bunch of people! (you put her in an awkward *has to say yes* position) she needs something romantic and sweet that she can tell her grandbabies about some day..... use your own creativity and do something that you know she will love...nothing anyone on here tells you will be the perfect thing

give her what she likes as a gift or take her for canddel light dinner if possible but dont ask in front of anybody every girl wants their privacy if u really love her care for her then she will understand automaticlly

Iwould prefer alone when she is not expecting it at all. coz if done publicly she might asume that you barely want to show of and also incase she declines it will be a huge embarrassment to you.

Take her out to a romantic dinner and like after that take her somewhere like outside make sure the senery is romantic too then go ahead and propose. That is how I would like my man to propose to me.
