l was 18-19 and my guy was 12 years older then me, l still lived at home and my family not liking my guy wouldnt let me stay the night with him. they also woludnt let me go on holiday with him, the age never botherd us and when we first meet l told him l was 21, but he knew my real age before we slept together!
We ended badly, he told me after a year that it was like going out with a little girl cos l could never stay the night, his new girl is 9 years younger then him. shes why he dumped me!
Was he being unfair on me, or if you love someone, you would understand the situation a little better.

If I loved the girl, her curfews would not be a reason for me to dump her.

This guy dumped you for the sex, or rather, lack of. No 'loving ' guy would do that. Tis guy was not worth your time nor your love and affection. It was just the hope for sex that kept him holding on for that long. But there is more to a relationship than just sex. Let his memory go and please, don't beat yourself up over it...

Happy healing :-)

You were 18 and he was 30. You WERE a "little girl" to him. You were barely out of highschool and still living at home - if you were working, it was your first job. He was an independent man, probably been working for at least a decade, used to being completely independent from the pressures of a family in making decisions. The gap between the two of you was HUGE. Hard for an actual and abiding "love" to develop between two people in such disparate places. Your relationship was pretty much doomed from the start.

He was dating you for one reason only and that was to have sex and get his rocks off. Why on earth would a man in his 30's want to date a teenager? He was using you and I am sure he is using this other girl he is with now. Stay away from older men for now and take some advice from your parents. One day you will find true love and when you do you will realize how used you have been. Good Luck to you.

We all go through relationships like this from time to time. when I was 17 i was seeing someone 11 years older than me. he would never let me see his home or the place he lived, never invited me to stay with him etc, it was obvious that all was not right and I got screwed over on more than one occasion, but if that experience has taught me anything its that it wasnt meant to be and i had to move on. I am now living with my partner of 2 years who is 5 years older than me and couldnt be happier.

I would say that it was fair, no offense. I mean, you were 18-19, if you wanted to be in that relationship with him then you should have worked, saved your money and moved out on your own, then you could make your own rules. It's all apart of growing up. Now all you can do is try to get over him.

If he's the right person then he would understand. Sometimes its so hard and awful things happen, but because it wasnt meant to work out. Even if you love someone deeply it doesnt necessarily mean that the relationship will work. The right one will understand and realise that hard times are worth working through.

First, good thing, you date older guys, they are the only ones mature enough for you, they will treat you better, and take better care of you. always look for a guy about 10 yrs older than you, it will do u good....he most likely found someone he liked better, that is always a chance you take, weather hes is older or not, but when your with him he will treat you best...that is why you miss him, the way he treated you.....By the way Im a older guy looking for a girlfriend,,,,,good luck,
