If it is not your document, you really cant unless you change the document to Microsoft Document. You need to scroll down to blue viewing and change the document. Now, if it is the latest revision, it may not work.

If you can not capture the text when the pdf is open, the document is probably protected from unauthorized copying. You could try asking the author for the permissions password to copy/edit the text if you think you should be able to do this.

when you open a PDF, it has a button on the toolbar that says Select Text , it has a T inside a square. You can know copy and paste it into MS word for editing.

Very ugly to do. It all depends on the security level the author used. The first thing to do is not use acrobat reader 5 but 6 professional to get the text editing features.

u need to have adobe acrobat reader version above 5.0 like adobe acrobat reader 6.0 or 7.0 will work. it will have a text tool from which u can select text and copy anywhere.
