I do not know what is happening when the start menu bar at the bottom of my computer screen dissappears. I have to physically turn off the computer and then back on to get the tool bar back. Is there a way to do that without turning off the machine. I have windows XP.

well right click on the start toolbar and go to properties
make sure the auto hide task bar button is not cheked.

ur Start button Disapear Becouse someone setting up to hide optin for that if u want get it u can just move ur mouse to start button.

if u want it's go unhide then please folow thease

1 click on start button
2 then click on settings
3 Then click on Taks bar and start button after click there one popup window will apear
4 then then u check 2nd option and u can modify it

hit ctrl-alt-delete, run task manager

order processes by name, kill all processes named explorer.exe

then goto - run, type explorer
