Heard of it...yeah. Haven't heard much good about it though. Sounds like it is a dismal attempt at the Left to find an entertaining counterpoint to Rush, Hannity, Beck, etc. But Liberals just don't have a good sense of humor, so it doesn't fly.

This answer is going to be a bit long, and it will have typos in it ... I just woke up and the coffee has not kicked in.

I use to work at KLIF in Dallas. KILF is the #2 talk station in the Market. It is run by Jeff Hillery, Annmarie Petito, and has two very good talk jocks by the name of Darrel Ankarlo, and Greg Knapp. They are good men. They are decent people, but it is ALL entertainment. It is all about getting people to listen to the spots. If the nation were more to the left they would have talk jocks talking to left issues. The nation and the market is conservative here, and they feed the people what they want to hear. It is called reinforcing the cognitive landscape. Annmarie is a true Blue hard core Democrat, by the way, and is still one of the best producers for conservative talk radio in the nation. Conservative talk radio is all about selling the customer's product to the consumer, nothing more or less.

Air America is of the same vain. It runs a small low powered station here in Dallas. It also streams on the web. It caters to the Progressive/Liberal, Democrat audience. I have l listened to them, they are good at what they do.

I prefer the local NPR station, however, it is KERA here in DFW, and it is balanced. Sometimes it talks to the right, sometimes it talks to the left. They are in the business of information reporting, not selling dog food.

Watch Discovery channel much? No really, it is very interesting. It just makes sense. What kind of response can you expect. Debate. Over what. Propaganda? In Los Angeles Viacom is influential over channel 2,5,9,13. That's CBS, KTLA,KCAL,UPN. UPN & KTLA are a Warner Brothers/ Paramount partnership. No conspiracy here, just business. But your only other Air Broadcast choices between the traditional 2-13 is 4,7,11. That's NBC,ABC,FOX. The news is really not that diversified. Sumner Redstone, Walt Disney, Ted Turner, Rupert Murdoch. O.K. not quite up to date Eisner, hell whose keeping track, whats on the other channel my add is kicking in.

Air America was (is) a bunch of U.S. pilots who performed "secret" missions in Cambodia and Laos during the Viet Nam war. (Laos and Cambodia were Off-limits.)
