Perhaps as much as you'd like to be a stud, you have a deep insecurity becuase you know you are probably a geek.
I recommend the writings of Sigmund Freud.

Deep down you want to fit in the 'cool' group. But then you don't want to be labelled as a geek. Whichever one you choose, there is no need to hate either one because in the end they're acting in the most comfortable way they know how. You on the other hand, you don't know where you stand, it's like you don't have an identity and in the end you'll be the one losing out. Suggestion - be yourself and let the people who don't fit your standards be, atleast they are comfortable with who they are.

Blame society. We're taught at an early age that if you're not popular, you have to try and be popular. Those who don't are labeled either loser or geek. And according to the unwritten laws of popularity and society, you should hate them.
I've grown beyond all that though, so I can safely say that hating someone because they don't measure up to your standards or societal standards is extremely shallow and you need to get over it. It's not your place to judge them, because maybe to them, you're a geek or a loser.
Be yourself. Don't cow down to popularity and society's influence telling you hate this, and do that, and so on and whatnot.
Figure out what's normal and try to like people for who they are and not for wether they're geeky or not.

Dear Verycool: Sound like a classic case of sitting on the sidelines watching the game instead of being invited in to join either of these fundamentalist groups. Does your mother play an important role in your daily decision making? Have trouble deciding do you eat the carrots vs peas, when you really want to stuff the peas up you nose. Get off the fence man!!!
Ahh, the hate is simply misdirected energy, get a skin book and well, you know...
Cheers.

You hate geeks probably because it's natural that 'stronger humans'
pick on the less stronger or something... Oh and yeah and you should fear the geeks not hate 'em because the silent type is bad for your health... you don't know when they'll crack and come to school with a semi-automitic and shoot your a*s... :))) Just joking :P

Humans choose to hate what they fear or envy. Are you envious towards "geeks" do you feel that they are on a whole other level much higher than yours is? Or is it you fear them for some reason? That on some level you find yourself in uncomfertable places as you are around them that can be generated from uncomfert to unsurity to haterd.

in my opinion...peer pressure will make you feel that way. You can be friends with someone one day, and your other friends ask you later why you were hanging out with that person. Next thing you know...you are no longer hanging out with that person because you are afraid of what your "gang" might say.
