It's good to be confident, but it's bad to be arrogant. So, in your opinion, what's the difference?

Arrogant people are not self-confident.They are being arrogant by trying to replace the lack of self-confidence.And arrogant people are easy to spot.

The dividing line is when you're the one drawing attention to your confidence, then you've become arrogant - and that attention drawing can be - a superior attitude without words, a grab the project first because who could do it any better, a lack of team willingness or patience when a person isn't doing "it" the way you would - which could also be shown by not participating with your talents in an almost pouting manner, or sulking - you can always kind of relate to a four year old - their not in the terrible twos so it's not a tantrum - it's the more reticent "no thank you Mommy" with just that hint of - you know I really wanted to, but if Sister is joining I'll pass!

LOL in my opinion, people cross the line all the time! I would say confidence is in being assertive enough to go out in public without trembling in fear, but arrogance is going out in public and making a lot of noise. Arrogance is proactive, and maybe confidence is just for the situation. An arrogant person pursues, and confident person is simply well-prepared. I don't know. I would call myself... not confident, but prepared.

being arrogant is when you see you're self as a better person overall than most people,
being confident is having the ability to speak you're thoughts, and act regardless on what others think. usually what others think about confident people are arrogant

Self-confidence is believing in your talents and abilities, believing in yourself as a person.
Arrogance is believing that your talents and abilities make you better than everyone else. (You may actually be better, but when you start thinking and acting like you're better, that's arrogance.)

Arrogance--bad. Self-confidence--good.

Self confidence is knowing one's self and not being afraid speak your mind. Arrogance is thinking you are better than others and your poop don't stink.

i think it is being humble,

I believe that self confidence and assertiveness go together,

and arrogance and aggressiveness go together,
arrogant people are conceited, and really admire themselves and give themselves more credit than they earned,

self confident people (my opinion) are sure of themselves, and go thru life with manners, and humility, and are not push overs, yet they don't "push others" OVER.
