I am I going to Andalucia with my boyfriend in August. We are staying in our own villa and are renting a car. Could any of you guys let me know what would be an ok amount of euros to take? Is 700 enough? What does a meal out, wine and petrol usually cost?

Thanks!

if you are going for a week then yes £700 should be enough but just a warning it is VERY expensive over there especially for everyday groceries.

I've never been to that part of Spain but in general I've found that things cost about the same as they do here (UK) Add up what you would normally spend on a meal out, shopping petrol etc then convert to Euros and take an extra couple of hundred just in case. I always take my credit and debit cards too, just in case.

Hi ya, I live in andalucia, It all depends on were you are going to and what you like to do. If you want to eat out, try one of the local ventas, you get a good meal with a decent price. Try to avoid all the touristy places you will get stung|||||||. The last time me and my husband went out it cost us 30€ for a 3 course meal and loads of drinks. Happy Holiday

I would try and take 1000, it is so expensive. We have just moved home after spending 6 months there and the basic cost of living/ grocerys is very high!!
700 will be ok if you dont eat out everyday and your boyfriend takes plenty of cash - have a fab holiday xx

Spain is relatively inexpensive BUT watch out for pickpockets!

If you have a debit card I* would recommend you use that as a source of cash.

Nationwide do NOT charge commission on "foreign"withdrawals.

It is very hot in Spain today-35C in our shady area!
