It will be difficult for Wenger to prise Ribbery form Marseille as the player himsef has expressed the desire to play for Lyon. Also Ribbery had a good world cup and the reported amount Arsenal are willing to pay which is 10 million pounds falls short of the players valuation. In addition when Wenger was asked recently over the Juventus saga and if he would shop for some of their players he said the players were on very high wages and Arsenal couldnt afford them-No transfer money due to the Emirates Stadium project. I can safely say that Franck Ribbery will not be an Arsenal player for atleast this season.

Thanks to Wenger, Arsenal seems more like a French club for foreign legionnaires. Of the top 5 EPL clubs, only Man Utd looks British - tis a sad development to see foreigners dominating football in England.
Pires pales in comparison to all the former Arsenal greats - that's why he wasn't invited to grace the prestige event in honor of the great Bergkamp.

And you speak of Man U being the only one that seems British out of the top five? um...Spurs??? (Carrick, Lennon, Robinson, Defoe, King....just to name a few)
