The egg, of course, you cannot have a chicken without an egg. However, you must realise that the chicken as we know it is not an 'original' animal - it is a product of breeding different types of wild fowl. This is an old 'trick question', easy to answer if you think about it, even easier of you already know the answer, or study biology.
