Does anyone remember a childrens sci-fi TV series from the 1970's called "Time Slip"? It was on ITV. It involved a sort of time portal through which the characters could slip in and out. It was quite spooky! Any details would be nice!

POOR KID'S TOMORROW PEOPLE (qv). Kids with time-travelling capabilities helped adults in various sci-fi/time travel excursions. Faded in the mind like anything. SPENCER BANKS (Simon Randall) and CHERYL BURFIELD (Liz Skinner) starred. First episode featured a Tomorrow's World-esque lecture on the nature of time. The 'timeslip' of the title was achieved via good old split-screen technology.
