Yes, people have done some pretty crappy things to me, but I find that if I do not let it go, it will continue to allow them to hurt me. The best thing to do is just learn from it and not let it happen again, and walk away and forget all about it. Life is made up of lessons, and having people do bad things to us is just part of life.

I had a violent alcoholic father and insane mother that
verbally and physically abused me all the time I grew up.
I think the worst thing was my family still today don't believe
it happened years later. They say I made it up. My parents
hid it well. I even wrote a book about it. My self esteem
was 0, because my mother told me all my life I was nothing
but trash destined to go to hell. IT's A HARD BOOK TO READ. I wish it could be a movie to let people know how
child abuse can be so hidden.

Offhand I cannot think of one person - but this was done to my friend by a hospital in NYC. He took ill with a seizure and was taken to this hospital in Manhattan. My friend did not have health insurance at the time, so they treated him, but by 3 a.m., they tried to kick him out of the hospital. I had visited him earlier and I had taken all the stuff out of his pockets so he would not lose anything, so he had nothing on him. He tried to call me from 3 a.m. until 6 a.m. when he finally reached me - I grabbed car service, picked him up, and took him to breakfast, sent him home in car service. The next day he had to go back to the hospital - one in Brooklyn, NY - not that crap place in Manhattan, and he spent two weeks in the hospital.
I cannot EVER forgive that hospital for it's BS.

Yes, it's a trust issue, and once someone loses my trust it is very difficult to trust them again.

Yes. But it wasn't sexual or anything like that. In many ways, i think it was much worse.
