There was a delightful song that Buster Brown Shoes used for years and years--that was whistled in its ads. Very gay song--using the classical and not the vulgar definition of that badly-abused word. It conveyed the sense of a boy setting out on a fishing trip to the creek with his canepole over his shoulder and a straw hat on his head. You'd love it instantly. The Fisher-boy seems to be the name for it but I know that's not right. This song is REALLY worth digging for if you love your son. Too bad I can't recall the name.

The best father-son themed song I know was written and performed by Ben Folds. The Song is titled "Still Fighting It" off of his Rockin' the Suburbs album. It's not the happiest of songs, but you should give it a try. I've listened to a lot of music, and I've enjoyed the music off of this album more than any other album I've listened to.
Give it a listen. It is a beautiful song.

Well...."Cat's in the Cradle" by the late Harry Chapin was a song about a father & son, but I'm not so sure you'd want to use that one.....
John Lennon's "Beautiful Boy" from his "Double Fantasy" album is probably the very BEST song you could use for your project!

The song is called Father and Son, and the artist is Cat Stevens. It has also been re-done by Ronan Keating. (and if I remember correctly it was also done by Boyzone, on the album "Boyzone, By Request")
